Mobile Power Plants

Front line military bases, and disaster-relief efforts, are often in locations with abundant sunshine. Keeping such installations fuelled with oil and gasoline can be a logistical nightmare, risky, and costly. An alternative is to have mobile solar power systems mounted on trucks or containers that can be driven to where they are needed and parked to provide a reliable source of local solar power. By using XE CPV solar panels the power per unit area obtainable from such installations can be increased significantly, without increasing costs, thereby reducing the logistical burden. XE foresees such off-grid applications as a significant emerging market having applications for the military, relief efforts, and developing countries.
