Military Portable Solar

Front line combat troops are equipped with a host of electronic gadgets, which all require power. The excessive weight of the batteries needed to power these devices impedes mobility, and their finite charge limits the duty cycle of the soldier. This has created a market for portable, lightweight, compact solar panels. XE CPV technology can meet the needs of the modern war-fighter by allowing lightweight, foldable, CPV panels that incorporate feather-light thin plastic concentrators, provide a higher power per unit mass and higher power per unit area than other solar technologies. Such panels can be packed folded and flat and opened to generate power for either re-chargeable batteries or to power devices directly. XE anticipates that this market segment will continue to grow as military personnel become more and more dependent on their portable electronic devices.
