In the long run XE plans to develop its own XE-CPV power plants to sell electricity to utilities and commercial customers under Power Purchase Agreements. In this context, the ability of XE-CPV to provide the greatest possible energy return from a given collecting area will enable extremely large scale solar farms to be built. Specificially, whereas current plans for traditional solar farms are in the range of 100-600 MWp (mega watt peak) installations requiring approximatly 5 to 28 square kilometers respectively, XE-CPV allows us to scale to 4GWp plants, or with integrated storage, 1GWa (giga-watt average) plants on about 16 square kilometers. Thus, with integrated storage XE-CPV will enable the creation of a 1GWa baseload solar power plant. Moreover, as our trackers are embedded within our panels, and the panels stay outwardly fixed to a roof or facade, XE-CPV can also be installed on commercial roofs and facades to provide local power to data centers and the like.
